Game Controls

What's your favorite control? Joystick? Keyboard? Game pad? Mouse? Memorize these controls (or print this page) and strut your stuff. Game option hot keys let you change game options while playing.

Remember    These are the default settings. If you customize your controls, they will be different than those listed in this topic.

Press 3 and move the joystick as indicated

Notes

  • Using a two-button joystick, press key Z or X on the keyboard.
  • Using a four-button joystick, press button 3 or 4 on the joystick.

Game Option Hot Keys

With these keys, you can adjust your graphics and sound options while you are riding. Depending on your hardware, this may may help speed up the game.

Help: Minimizes game on taskbar and displays online Help F1
Pause (Single Player only) F3 or PAUSE
Quit Race or Game:  Pauses the game and displays the option to quit the race or exit the game completely. ESC or ALT+F4
In-Game Statistics:   Toggles on/off F5
Visual Cues:  Toggles on/off F6
Speedometer:  Toggles on/off F7
Stadium and Sky Texture:   Toggles on/off F8
Particles:   Toggles on/off F9
Shadows:  Toggles on/off F10
Graphics Quality:   Decreases with repeated key presses F11
